View Article  Well Done Bobby Brown!

Congratulations Bob! What an amazing achievement! We are so pleased that you have completed your challenge successfully. We have been worried all along that this one might prove just too much even for you - we should have known better.

With best regards from all at ECH.

The following is a direct quotation from Bob's latest diary entry:

"Greetings from Riga airport in Latvia. It's Monday evening and I am just about to fly home. I am relieved it is all over. This run has been beyond my wildest expectations in terms of it's severity and I am emotionally, physically and mentally drained as I write so will keep it brief and update more in detail when I get home. Firstly, thanks to my wonderful crew of Luke, Chris, Amy, Dan, Susan, Ross and Dad for all the wonderful help, I will never forget it. Thank you to the wonderful GINSTERS for being the best sponsor ever. Thank you to CAR PHONE WAREHOUSE for the phones. My family I am indebted for all your love and support. I love you all very much. I am in tears s I write this in the airport because I am so emotional about all that has happened on this run, and am drained beyond comprehension. Finally thank you to everyone who has followed the site. Sorry for not returning emails but I appreciate each and every one of them. Sorry also that I have just found out my inbox is full so emails must have been returned unsent for the last 10 days. I really appreciate everyone's continued support. Back in England tomorrow for an uncertain period of change. But change is always good. Thank you from a very tired, relieved Bob and all his team at Bobby’s run. XXX "

View Article  Garry's Epic Run for Multiple Sclerosis

Congratulations to Garry Player who ran 28 miles from Padstow to Fowey today to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. This is a charity close to Garry's heart as his mother suffers from this debilitating disease. Garry's run took him along the Saint's Way. It poured with rain all the way except for the last two miles! Garry's time of 4 hours 45 minutes on a hilly route is a fine performance. Garry's friends and family are taking two days to complete this challenge, whilst unsurprisngly Garry chose to complete it in one foul swoop! A fantastic achievement! So far Garry has raised £160 but it would be fantastic if he could significantly increase that amount. Please see Garry to sponsor him retrospectively.

Many thanks

She was particularly delighted as the first 7 women home were elite athletes. Claire runs in the New Forest Marathon on 18 September.
